Installing the Snooper Indago into your car could not be easier. When you first receive the unit you will find a battery switch on the underside. You will need to slide this into the on position. Then, making sure the SD memory card is inserted into the slot located on the right hand side you are ready to switch the unit on. You will find the power button located on the left hand side. Simply hold this down for 3-4 seconds and the Snooper Indago will boot-up into life.
In the box you will find a windscreen mounting bracket that comes in two parts. The windscreen suction bracket and the Indado unit holder. The unit holder has a grove on the back which corresponds to a 'shoe' on the windscreen suction bracket, this shoe slides into the grove on the unit holder and locks into place. To fix the windscreen mount to your vehicle windscreen you place the clear plastic suction pad firmly against the glass and pull the lever down. The windscreen moutint bracket uses a few ball and socket joints enabling you to adjust the mounting angle of the Indago as required. The unit holder then has a 3 point fitting which the Indago clips into place between. You will find corresponding groves on the Indago unit which allows it to firmly lock into place in the unit holder.
Inside the box you will find a 12v coiled power lead to power the Snooper Indago off your vehicles 12v cigar lighter socket. This plugs into the back of the Indago unit and there is an arch cut into the back of the mounting bracket to allow you to power the system whether its on or off the mounting bracket. If you wish to hardwire the Indago directly to the cars vehicles electrics or to mount the system in another way such as over an air vent them please see the accessory page for the parts required.
The Indago uses the latest Sirf III GPS receiver chip giving you the strongest GPS receiption available commercially and this should work behind all types of windscreens. In extreme cases behind some athermic windscreens satellite receiption maybe slower than desired however, in which case remote antennas are also available which when located behind the rear view mirror will speed up receiption.
