So you're wondering which is best type of parking sensor system for you. Each of the systems available from Trading Direct is different and it's best to examine which one best suits your needs before buying.

Veba

You will find this product on most vehicles that come with parking sensors as standard. Vebas are small sensors that have flat heads, giving a flush finish to the rest of your car. The sensors are black but can be coloured using a thin non-metallic spray paint.

Nikkai

As with the Veba systems above these are ultrasonic sensors. The sensors come in black but again can be coloured using a fine non-metallic spray paint. Nikkai also do some adhesive sensors for a quick and easy installation.

Taurus

This is a different type of system to the rest, working through electromagnetism rather than ultrasonics (see How Does It Work? section). You would fit this to your vehicle if you didn't want any external alteration to the appearance of your vehicle. While you do not need to drill holes in the bumper, you would most likely need to remove it to fit the system.

The Taurus is particularly designed for vehicles with things like low-mounted spare wheels on the back of 4x4s which might cause false alerts for ultrasonic systems. The different technology means the Taurus looks for a change in the terrain behind the vehicle and ignores obstacles already present.
