Reverse Parking Sensors
An electronic parking sensor is like a co-pilot helping you to reverse, using either ultrasonic or electromagnetic technology to sense obstacles and help you park safely. This sort of equipment is an optional extra on most new cars these days and has become standard equipment on higher specification models. If you retro-fit most of these reverse parking sensors there will be little difference between yours and a manufacturer's installation.

However, there are other less technical options available, including the fitting of extra rear-view mirrors, extended wing mirrors and blind spot mirrors. Reversing lenses and garage mounted sensors are also simple methods to help you establish exactly when you need to stop reversing. Before the inevitable happens, you can even fix rubber strips to the car bumper or crash pads to walls, thus minimising any damage.
