Ultrasonic Parking Sensors
This technology is very straight forward and is employed by the major car manufacturers for their own reverse parking systems. A simple connection to the reversing light will switch these systems on whenever reverse gear is selected. They work by bouncing ultrasonic sound waves of obstacles behind the car to inform you as you get close to anything behind.
Rear-View Parking Cameras
With a variation of how you power these units they can also be fitted to the front of the car for all round guidance and there are audio options along with LED distance countdown displays and even rear-view camera options. Most of these require just some moderate DIY skills for fitting but there are also some adhesive sensor options for those wanting a really easy to fit parking sensor system.
