In this day and age of motoring with ever-increasing traffic levels it is important that you can be seen if you break down whether it be on a quiet country road or on a busy motorway. Remember it is recommended if you breakdown on the motorway that you leave your car on the hard shoulder and stand back from the road on the embankment behind your car making yourself as visible as possible so that if another car has an accident whilst rubbernecking you do not become a casualty of their stupidity

It is also important to wear reflective gear should you need to stop and change a tyre or review damage to your car, you may think other people will see you but light could be in their eyes on a bright day or the twighlight may make it more difficult for those travelling at speed to register you quickly it doesn’t mean that the next car round the corner will see you, make it as easy for them as possible and keep yourself safe.
