Car Alarms

We know you're not all trained auto electricians or car mechanics. Luckily you don't have to be, with these basic car alarm systems which can be fitted by anyone in an hour or so. These alarms will provide you with some peace of mind in the knowledge that you have a level of car security which may previously have been lacking. These basic car alarms protect your car doors...

These alarms can be fitted easily by virtually anyone; they do not require any specialist knowledge and use basic, simple diagrams to illustrate the installation procedure. They offer a bit more functionality over the alarms in the Basic Car Alarms section, since these Easy-Fit car alarms have the option of flashing the indicators when arming and disarming, and they can be...

Microwave Car Alarms offer a second level of protection over the Basic or Easy-Fit car alarms. Microwave alarms monitor your car with shock-sensing technology. A change in battery voltage within the microwave field is created in reaction a physical presence trying to gain illegal entry to your car. Car Alarms

This is the most common form of security system for your car and is the basic level of security with which every car should be equipped. It provides an (very) audible deterrent to car thieves, as well as quickly alerting the owner. On top of all of these benefits, the installation is also extremely straightforward.

An entry-level car alarm only requires a three wire connection to be effective (power/earth and voltage sensing) and can be easily mounted in the engine bay. More complicated alarms have additional wiring for upgrades or options, such as indicator-flashing, arming/disarming or when sounding the siren. Even more sophisticated alarms employ microwave or ultrasonic technology to sense intrusions or detect a physical presence.

Remote Controlled Alarms

Spending more money does not necessitate a louder alarm; they are restricted by law and typically 120 decibels. Car alarms are only allowed to sound for 30 seconds, at which point they will rearm themselves. All car alarms come with a key fob to remotely control the alarm, complying with MPT 1340 working on the internationally standardised frequencies of 433.720 MHz to 434.120 MHz.
