Description
The HC207 alcohol breathalyser is the smallest and most discreet unit we sell and would travel virtually unnoticed in your pocket or handbag. The HC207 estimates the level of alcohol in your blood by analysing your breath. It works by simply breathing onto the unit, activating a precision gas sensor. The detector will give a digital readout from 0.2% BAC to 1.0% BAC in 0.1 increments. If your looking to purchase this product with the view to measuring your ability to drive or operate machinery then 0.8% is the UK drink drive level you need to observe.
The compact breathalysers is designed for you to breathe directly onto the mounted into the top of the unit without the use of breathing straws. This makes the unit most convenient for use out and about but for hygienic reasons we would say this design is more for use by a single person rather than multiple random or regular monitored testing in an office or work environment, for which we would recommend the AML428.
Taking Readings
Gently shake the product 4 or 5 times to clear the sensor. Switch the unit ‘On’, the display will count down from 5, then display START and beep three times. Holding the sensor about 1cm from your mouth. Breath into the sensor for about 3 seconds as if your yawning. Try to breath out the same amount of air at the same speed. The level of alcohol in your breath will appear on the display.
