Laser Sensors
Here you’ll find portable laser sensors for detecting those mobile Safety Camera vans. The Laser sensors can be plugged into some units’ speed camera and satellite navigation systems, to improve their camera detection ability.
As laser works at the speed of light, the aim of these devices is to detect some ‘scatter’ from the car in front being targeted. Imagine it being a bit like a torch beam which is fired down the road from the mobile camera van; you’re sitting in the beam behind the main thing being illuminated. The laser can detect that beam, and notify you accordingly.
These are currently legal to have in the UK, although the government has been making movements towards making them illegal since 1997. Please note that in many mainland European countries, France in particular, these are illegal.
